Gregor Mendel was a Moravian scientist born on July 20, 1822 and died on January 6, 1884. He gained the title "Father of Genetics" by crossing genetics and heredity. He was known mostly for his expirement in crossing pea plants and creating different outcomes and finding out the chances and reasons of the outcomes.

 

The Punnett square is a diagram that is used to predict an outcome of a particular cross or breeding experiment. It is named after Reginald C. Punnett, who devised the approach. The diagram is used by biologists like Gregor Mendel, to determine the probability of an offspring having a particular genotype.
