Fertilization
A haploid cell is a sperm and an egg. This meaning, haploid cells are cells that have half the amount of chromosomes than normal. Two haploid cells equal a diploid cell which makes a baby or an offspring. Diploid cells are cells that are made up of 46 chromosomes, 23 chromosomes from each haploid cell. You get one haploid cell from each parent. An egg from the female and a sperm from the male. This an example of meiosis which is sexual reproduction.
